Here’s a new poster I recently did for bassoonist Leigh Miller Muñoz. She’s an amazing musician and a super nice person and I was honored that she asked to work with me on this.

I just wrapped up a poster for the upcoming Lawrence Chamber Orchestra concert featuring music and poetry of the WWI era. I tried to loosely base the imagery, type, and color off of old WWI propoganda posters. I thought the idea of a music making factory that was supporting the national interest would work great for this veteran’s day concert.

It should be a great concert and the LCO is in the midst of making some big slashes this year, so come on out for an evening of great 20th century music!

I took a trip out to Baldwin, buy more about KS last weekend and took a few photos on the historic Midland Railway. It was a really fun experience and this time of year is beautiful in Kansas. The leaves are just changing and the fields are being plowed, so a ride in an open-air train car is very relaxing. They have several vintage cars from the 1930s-1960s and they are really fun to walk through. I’ll have to try and make it back there and shoot some more photos sometime soon.

Car #8255 is a Diesel-Electric from 1951.

Car #999060 is the red caboose there and it’s from 1967.

I just launched a new website that is my first venture into responsive web design. In a nutshell, responsive web design involves designing and coding a site to adjust itself to the size of the screen it’s being viewed on. To put it another way, it’s responding to the ever-changing and diverse spectrum of screen sizes and resolutions that web designers have to take into account when creating a website. So, if you have a giant monitor, an iPad or a mobile phone, the site will look and act appropriately.

I recently did a product photoshoot for Fossick Imports (a jewelry import business) which was a lot of fun and really stretched my abilities as a photographer. Their new website recently went live and my photos are front and center on the home page! If you’re ever interested in selling jewelry and need to buy wholesale, definitely check out Fossick and ask for Barb! She’s the best!

Note: I didn’t design the website (although it looks great!) The main site is behind a password system, but here are a few screenshots of the slideshow in action.

You can see some other photos from a past photoshoot that I did for Fossick here.
